Homemade Face Scrub

My DIY recipe to deep-cleanse pores, kill acne-causing bacteria as well as exfoliate, mineralize and heal skin.
WHAT I USE:

--1/2 part  Fine Sea Salt - exfoliates, detoxifies, mineralizes and softens skin. (source)
--1 part Honey - kills acne-causing bacteria, prevents aging due to high level of antioxidants. (source)
--1 part Bentonite Clay - does MIRACULOUS job in pushing impurities out of pores (have been using it for years now).
--1/3 part Safflower Oil*** - dissolves oils that are stuck in pores (oil cleansing method)
--1/2 Baking Soda (optional) - great skin-exfoliant (source)

***any other noncomedogenic oil (like castor or jojoba) should also work, but PLEASE don't use coconut oil! (read more in this blog post by my blogger friend Anna )

HOW I USE IT:
I mix the ingredients and put the paste in a jar. I then use the scrub 2-3 times a week. And since salt and honey are natural preservatives (due to their strong antibacterial properties) there's no need to store the scrub in the fridge - isn't that convenient?;-)

    1. Thank you, Evie! I totally agree: you know exactly what you're applying and it's easier to understand what your skin "likes" and doesn't "like"
