This Guy Made the News Last Friday! or... Why I Felt Like the Most Ignorant Person That Day;-)

Waving Goodbye
Was ready to an alien invasion!...
I was probably the only person in the whole state of California who was not aware that Space Shuttle Endeavour was going to do its final California flyover on Friday.
(I know, it's such a shame, but my wisdom teeth surgery completely switched me off for a few days:-( so, yeah, that's my lame excuse!)
And as I was driving back home from my dentist's appointment... I was absolutely puzzled by what I saw! Immediate thought was: "Aliens?... Or just a weird airplane?" I live close to a private planes airport, so I wasn't too terrified or surprised, cause I have dozens of them fly over my roof every day. But this one looked too weird, so I had to park the car to make sure we were not in fact being invaded;-))) As it was crossing the sky very slowly right above my head (LITERALLY!) I saw two tiny airplanes accompanying this "thing".  Well, when I finally read the news, I got unbelievably ashamed of my ignorance... and happy that I still got the chance to be a part of this historic moment! Thank you, God!

    1. Thank you for the support, Deja - I truly appreciate it;-) I'm getting better, but my gum is still swollen and hurts a bit. Well, it's better to extract wisdom teeth sooner than later. Again, thank you so much!

  3. I hadn't heard about it. I suppose you were really surprised.
I hope everything is ok with the surgery. I have done it too twice! :(

    1. Thank you, Deja! I was in fact surprised, cause things like that don't happen very often, even in California:-))) And thank you for the worries - my surgeon is amazing, so everything went as smoothly as it could possibly get! I hope your surgery went great too...

  4. Wish I was there to take a picture of it. When you see something like that it kind of makes you question the fairness of airlines charging overweight luggage fees.

  8. Hi Maria, I would be that person too! I don't follow the news that closely. It's rarely happy stuff. Love the photo, and I'm glad you got to see it (aside from the fear)! :)
